National Bike Month

Who doesn't love to ride a bike? And with the warm, long days of May -- this is the perfect time to celebrate National Bike Month with a family bike ride.

May is also the perfect month to read a biking book. For read-aloud fun, nothing is better than David Shannon's Duck on a Bike. You'll find it in the Juvenile Easy section.

Barbara Park (of Junie B. Jones fame) wrote a sad - but funny - biking book that offers some good advice about wearing a helmet. It's called Mick Harte Was Here. You'll find this one in the Juvenile Fiction section.
