SummerFest a BIG Success!

Kids (and grown-ups) of all ages came to SummerFest 2009 on Saturday, August 1 at the Central Library to celebrate a summer of reading fun. Over 900 attendees enjoyed activities ranging from balloon animals and bouncy castles to Texas maps and watermelon hats.

SummerFest is an annual event at the Central Library that brings kids and families from across the city together to close out summer programming in style.

And although the party is over we want you to continue your summer reading! If you haven't turned in your 2009 Reading Log yet -- don't worry. It's not too late. You can submit your Reading Log, get your certificate and select your free book through the month of August.
