April's Featured Author: Paul Janeczko

April is National Poetry Month -- and a good time to enjoy the work of poet and anthologist Paul Janeczko.

Paul has a friendly smile, a big bushy beard, a daughter named Emma and he has published over forty books -- many of which you'll find in the San Antonio Public Library collection. I especially like the three collections he has done with illustrator Chris Raschka:

A Poke in the I: A Collection of Concrete Poems (2001)

A Kick in the Head: An Everyday Guide to Poetic Forms (2005)

A Foot in the Mouth: Poems to Speak, Sing and Shout (2009)

You can read more about Paul at his website. And you can always ask an SAPL librarian to help you find a great book -- poetry, fact or fiction!
