Have You Seen My Duckling? is probably her best known work as she received a Caldecott Honor citiation for its big, bold illustrations in 1985.
However, The Busy Little Squirrel is a book that begs to be read in the fall -- not only to honor Ms. Tafuri on her birthday -- but as a reminder that, like Squirrel, we all need to get ready for winter.
