Although Texas is beautiful all year, spring is when the Lone Star State is at it's very best. In spring, everywhere you look there is an abundance of wildflowers. Texas wildflowers are so beautiful that noted author/illustrator Tomie DePaola was inspired to write two books celebrating them, The Legend of the Bluebonnet and The Legend of the Indian Paintbrush. Both of these wonderful stories celebrate the amazing colors and beauty of Texas wildflowers.
