Lenore Look is the author of both the popular Alvin Ho series, the Ruby Lu series, and five other picture books. Even when she was in
kindergarten, she knew she wanted to be a famous published author, and she
began selling her hand-made books to her brothers and neighborhood kids for
quarters and candy. It took her 30 years to achieve her dream.
She pulls from her experience as a young Chinese American as
well as from her memories of visiting China to tell stories that balance a
person's individuality with their loyalty to tradition. Her newest book, Brush of the Gods is about one of ancient China's famous artists, Wu Daozi.
