Happy Birthday Crockett Johnson

On October 20, 1906, David Johnson Leisk was born in New York City. David's childhood nickname was Crockett.  It was a name he liked so much that when he grew up and became an author and illustrator of children's books he kept that nickname.  Today, we still read and enjoy many books by Crockett Johnson -- the most famous of which is Harold and the Purple Crayon.

Crockett had a terrific imagination -- and so does Harold -- who uses his purple crayon to draw himself a world to explore.

Do the Math:  How old would Crockett Johnson be if he was alive today?
