One
of my favorite stories about a bird is Roli-Poly Egg by Kali Stileman. In
this story, Splotch lays an egg that accidentally falls out of the tree and
ends up on an egg-xtraordinary adventure! The egg meets animal after animal
before making it back home to Splotch just in time to hatch!
