2016 Caldecott Winner Announced

On January 11, 2016 the American Library Association (ALA) announced the winners of this year's children's book awards.  The 2016 Caldecott Medal, which is given to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children, goes to Sophie Blackall for Finding Winnie: The True Story of the World's Most Famous Bear.

While the Caldecott is one of the most well-known of the ALA youth book awards, the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) administers a number of other book awards as well. A complete listing of these outstanding award winners is available on the ALA/ALSC website.
