Lillian's Right to Vote

As Black History Month gets started -- and with the presidential elections coming this fall -- it's a good time to learn more about voting!

Lillian's Right to Vote is a celebration of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 which was signed by President Johnson to ensure that state and local governments could not prevent African Americans from the exercising their right to vote. It's an interesting and inspiring story that describes the "long steep hill" that Miss Lillian and other African Americans have climbed to secure their voice in our elections.
