January's Electronic Bookshelf features books by American author and illustrator Trina Schart Hyman. Ms. Hyman had a long and distinguished career with over 150 children's books to her credit. She won the Caldecott Award in 1985 for Saint George and the Dragon - a story that reflects her lifelong interest in myths and legends.
As a child, Trina was especially fond of the story of Little Red Riding Hood. As an adult, she retold and illustrated that favorite story and received a Caldecott Honor Award for her efforts in 1984.
