For
those who love scary stories, The Hollow Boy by Jonathan Stroud is
a great selection for Halloween reading. Anthony Lockwood, Lucy Carlisle and
George Cubbins, aka Lockwood & Co., work together to rid London of evil
ghosts that can kill people simply by touching them. Full of thrills, scary
adventures and close calls, this novel will appeal to students in grades 5 and
up. The first two books in the series are just as spooky: The Screaming Staircase
and The Whispering Skull.
