The new version of the SAPL website has a feature called guides. You could think of these guides as resources designed especially to help you find things in the library and on the internet.
The children's librarians have put together several guides that you might find useful as you prowl up and down the shelves looking for good books to read.
Children's Book Lists: Popular Genres includes lists of Adventure Books, Historical Fiction, Mysteries, Scary Stories and Science Fiction.
Children's Book Awards: Major has information about the Newbery, Caldecott and Texas Bluebonnet Awards including links to the catalog for the newest award winners.
Kids: Just for Fun includes links to websites and books that feature Arts and Crafts, Comics, Games and Sports.
