When he was young, Kevin Henkes dreamed of becoming a real author and illustrator. And when he was only 19 years old -- his dream came true!That was back in 1981 when his first book, All Alone, was published. Since that time, Kevin has written and illustrated lots of books -- picture books, board books and novels. In 2005 he won the Caldecott Medal for Kitten's First Full Moon.
