Little Red Riding Hood

January's folktale celebration wouldn't be complete without an enthusiastic reading of Little Red Riding Hood.

Like almost all folktales, there are many variations of Little Red Riding Hood to enjoy.  You might read Ed Young's Lon Po Po which is a Chinese version of the story.   Or, you could try Niki Daly's Pretty Salma, a version that is set in Africa.
