Naomi Shihab Nye

We're closing out our celebration of National Women's History Month and launching our celebration of National Poetry Month by featuring the books of Naomi Shihab Nye on the SAPL Kids Electronic Bookshelf.

Ms. Nye is poet, an anthologist, a novelist and a picture book author.  You can find her works on the shelves in libraries across the country -- but we are especially proud to have her books on the shelves at SAPL because she lives right here in San Antonio. When she was a student at Lee High School, several of her poems were published in the Young Pegasus Poetry Anthology.
