Congratulations to Greg Pizzoli winner of the 2014 Theodore Seuss Geisel Award for his book The Watermelon Seed.
The Geisel Committee named three Honor Books as well. SA Public Library's Geisel Guide provides catalog links for all of this year's Geisel Honor Books as well as winners dating back to 2006.
If you are looking for some terrific beginning readers -- the Geisel list is a good place to start!
