The Fourth Grade Book Club at Bonham Academy just finished reading Mick Harte Was Here by Barbara Park. The overwhelming response of the group -- boys and girls -- was "This is the best book I have ever read!"
Barbara Park is well-known for the hilarious Junie B. Jones series. And while she brings along her sense of humor when writing about Mick and his sister Phoebe -- this is a book that is both sad and funny, a book that will make you laugh and make you cry.
It is a really good read. Just ask the Bonham fourth graders!
