National Poetry Month

April is National Poetry Month – a time to celebrate poems, poets and the beauty of the written word. 

The San Antonio Public Library has many poetry books for kids. A brand new poetry book we have is Wet Cement: A Mix of Concrete Poems by Bob Raczka. Concrete poetry is a type of poetry where the words form shapes on the page to help express the meaning of the poem.
