October is an excellent time to honor the Octopus -- one of nature's oldest and most intelligent invertebrates. What's not to like about an animal with eight tentacles, hundreds of suction cups and absolutely no bones?
San Antonio Public Library is celebrating World Octopus Day with special kid-friendly programs at 14 branches. Our celebration begins with a special story time at the Igo Branch on Tuesday, October 4 and concludes with events at Westfall, Collins Garden, Pruitt, San Pedro and Semmes on Saturday, October 8.
See the SAPL Events Calendar for details. Scroll down to find the "Search" option on the right. Then, simply type in the word Octopus for the complete schedule.
